The Many Faces of Carmen Bailey

OMG-If anyone reading my blog remembers what I looked like growing up with my Jheri Curl and over-sized body would know that I look completely different from way back when. I am still dealing with acne as if I was still in High School, but I am going to have a chemical peel next week that should help with the marks and acne. I was looking through my grandmother's photo album of myself and my sister when we were younger and we looked rough!! We have both changed so much except, I am still much taller than my sister. She has always been 4'11 and I have towered her at 5'7. We are three years apart and she is the oldest. I run into classmates a lot and none of them recognize me, but they recognized my sister. I decided to update photos on my blog of myself because a lot of people look for my on Face Book, but Carmen Bailey does not FaceBook. However, I do blog about my life and those who are in my life. I also like to motivate, so a lot of my postings are just to keep you uplifted and enlightened. Carmen~

The Cadillac Queen~

My mom is the Queen of positive thinking. When she wants something, she gets what she wants because she has set up a positive attitude to receive it! She teaches my family and I to dream big and aspire to have whatever you want in life and that is what I do everyday. She wakes up in a cheery mood no matter what may be going on around her. She is the Matriarch of my family and she is the positive tone we keep nearby at all times. She always have a kind word or smile to keep us on the right path and in the right frame of mind. I am blessed to be blessed with her as my mom and friend. I aspire to carry the same positive attitude that she does consistently~

My Babies!!

These three are my babies. They are the loves of my life. I am the proudest Big Sister and Auntie ever!! I love these three as if they are my own kids. They have been able to bribe me out of whatever they want. I have spoiled them along with my Mother. I am so happy that they are all over 18. Che'-my baby brother is 21, Cody-my oldest nephew is 20, and Christina is 18. They are all my babies that have grown up so quickly and my family is so proud of them all. We all look forward to attending Christina's High School Graduation from Lithia Springs High School this year. Auntie will be there with bells on. I hope that this year is a great year for all. I wish you all the best and looking forward to Christina's Graduation Getaway in Orlando. Stay tuned for vacation photos.

Love You Babies,

Be grateful for the friends you have and know that God will prepare you for even more friends in the future. Be blessed and be the best friend that you can be!! Be blessed my friends and remember to treat people kindly and the way that you want to be treated.

Leaving the Past Behind!!

Leaving the past behind can be difficult for a lot people including myself. I am letting go of the past by letting go of who I used to be in the past. There are so many unhappy people in the world today because they are unhappy with themselves. I am working with people who are so unhappy with themselves that they take it out on other people and I do not think that is fair or right. I love the fact when people take the accountability of why they are unhappy and most of the time it is within them.

How do we change what we don't want to what we do want?

The answer to that question is to live in the present moment of what you want. I desire to be happy at all times-no matter what happens or what is going on, I have chosen to be happy. I work in a very stressful environment at times and I am learning how to control my attitude and behavior when I am working. I am also practicing patience when dealing with people who are irate and rude. I've learned how to hold my tongue, breathe and listen. Most of the times, people just want to vent their frustrations to someone and I sometimes lend my ear to listen and not take to heart what they are saying. I know that I cannot fix people, I can only fix myself and that starts within. I hope that you are ready to make this year your Best Year Ever!!

I would leave the past behind and start making self-changes now to get to where you are heading and never look back while you are on this Journey. I hope you have a Great 2012 and stay tuned for more motivational postings~~

Living in 2012!!

I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year. I hope that you are able to have all that you desire for your year. I decided to focus on what's important to me-my peace of mind, things and people that make me happy and forget the rest. It has been a very good few weeks so far. I just celebrated my 33rd birthday on January 22nd and I spent the day bowling with my close friends and family. I enjoyed them and I know they enjoyed themselves. I would like to stress the importance of making sure that you are doing what you love to do or living out your passions which makes your life worth living. I love making handbags, spending time with my family and motivating others to be the best they can be in their lives. My Journey last year taught me to let go of things, feelings and people who are not productive in my life and move forward in the direction I chose for my own life. I never allow other people to direct my path, they can direct their own. I have lost friendships and a few family members along my Journey because I refuse to allow someone else to make decisions for my life. I wish you the Best New Year for 2012 and stay tuned for my Motivational Posts. I have been posting pictures of my family lately because of the Holidays and my motto is to put your family first!!

With Love,

Carmen
