I was talking with a co-worker about the fact that I don't speak with my so-called friends that often and I realized that some of my friendships are over. I had a friend and she is no longer a part of my life, so I took the title Best Friend from her and I gladly give it to my mom. My mom, sister and a few relatives have been so supportive of me when my so-called " Friend" was no where to be found. Life changes in so many ways and I always thought we would be friends forever, but she changed and I walked away. I am happy for her and very happy to move forward in my life. Friends are supposed to be there for you and share in both the joys and pains that you encounter and vice versa. I have always been the better friend to others and in return, never quite received that from my friends. I have one good friend who is always there for me and I am the God mother to her sons and they have been the best support for me. I teach my niece and small cousins to be a good friend, but make sure that you are friends with someone true-someone who will share your joys and pains with you. Make sure that your friends are a reflection of you. I don't take my friend duties lightly, but I do not keep "unwanted friends" in my life either. Carmen~
